摘要: Recoverin and the guanylate cyclase activating proteins (GCAPs) are calcium-sensing in retinal rod cone cells that belong to EF-hand superfamily serve as important calcium sensors vision. GCAP myristoylated at their amino-terminus targeted disc membranes by a myristoyl switch. Here, we present three-dimensional, atomic-resolution structures of recombinant recoverin containing 0, 1 2 ions (Ca2+) bound unmyristoylated GCAP-2 with 3 Ca2+bound determined nuclear magnetic resonance. The Ca2+-induced structural changes these for elucidating membrane-targeting mechanisms understanding molecular mechanism Ca2+-sensitive regulation phototransduction.
