摘要: Skin temperature was increased at slow and rapid rates while single unit activity recorded in the medial preoptic/anterior hypothalamus (POAH) of unanesthetized rabbit. Of 69 units tested with skin heating, 14, decreased 38, unchanged 17. The responsive exhibited either an immediate or delayed change firing rate during heating. During 6 19 which could be underwent a qualitative from their thermal responsiveness Rapidly responding neurons provide instantaneous indication changes temperature, whereas activation slowly requires relatively long period Qualitative shifts heating additional mechanism for detecting abrupt ambient temperature. Thus, POAH input regarding both steady state
