摘要: Agroforestry tree domestication as a farmer-driven, market-led process emerged an international initiative in the early 1990s, although few studies pre-date this. A participatory approach now supplements more traditional aspects of improvement, and is seen important strategy for meeting Millennium Development Goals eradicating poverty hunger promoting social equity. Considerable progress towards indigenous fruits nuts has been achieved many villages Cameroon Nigeria that focuses on ‘ideotypes’, based understanding tree-to-tree variation commercially traits. Vegetatively propagated cultivars are being developed by farmers integration into their polycultural farming systems, especially cocoa agroforests. However, if agroforestry to be adopted scale meaningful economic, environmental impacts, it crucial markets products (AFTPs) expanded. Detailed commercialization AFTPs, southern Africa, provide support wider acceptance role enhancement livelihoods poor tropics. Consequently, policy guidelines presented this new sustainable rural development – alternative biotechnology approaches promoted some agencies. trees examines play adoption achievement (MDGs). Finally, suggests AFTPs represents paradigm appropriate implementation developing countries. World Future 12
