摘要: The first microsatellite loci for the endangered tidewater goby Eucyclogobius newberryi are described. A partial genomic library was constructed in pUC19 plasmid. Microsatellite-containing clones were isolated, sequenced, and amplified. Out of 12 positive 3 polymorphic proved useful a preliminary genetic screen well-separated populations (50 individuals each) along central California coast. number alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 3. This initial study suggests population bottleneck had occurred one populations.
