摘要: The cells of the prostate gland are dependent on cell signaling pathways to regulate their growth, maintenance and function. However, perturbations in key pathways, resulting neoplastic transformation epithelium, likely generate subtypes cancer which may subsequently require different treatment regimes. Accumulating evidence supports multiple sources stem epithelium with distinct cellular origins for tumorigenesis documented animal models, while human stem-like (PCSCs) typically enriched by culture, surface marker expression functional activity assays. As future therapies will a deeper understanding its as well that drive PCSC tumorigenesis, we review molecular supporting dysregulation PI3K/AKT, RAS/MAPK STAT3 PCSCs, development castration resistance, novel approach individual men cancer.
