Effect of tricaine methanesulfonate on survival and reproduction of the fish ectoparasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis

摘要: The fish extoparasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis was subjected to tricaine methanesulfonate (TM) exposure while were anesthetized for parasite collection. No information is available on the effects of TM I. multifiliis. This study evaluated survival and reproduction Significant differences not observed in tomonts collected from using unbuffered or buffered control exposed TM. Results current demonstrated that had no adverse effect when used at concentrations times required anesthetization.
