摘要: Abstract Objective The objective of this study was to evaluate the contribution validated screening tools for antiepileptic drug (AED) adverse effects, depression, and anxiety measure quality life (QoL) in people with epilepsy (PWE). Methods Patients a tertiary service were screened (using QOLIE-31), major depressive disorder (MDD) (NDDI-E), generalized (GAD) (GAD-7), AED effects (AEP). Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI) module also performed. For AEP validation French, internal structural validity analyzed. Dimensional (NDDI-E GAD-7 scores) categorical (MDD GAD) analyses performed investigate interactions between QoL AEP. Results A total 132 (87 females) subjects included. French version demonstrated satisfactory psychometric properties (Cronbach's α 0.87). Correlations NDDI-E, GAD-7, AEP, QOLIE-31 scores high, significant all subscales QOLIE-31; no effect seizure-related variables seen. Some sex differences found, mean score higher females. Age, sex, accounted 61% variance scores. Differential seen on subscales: strongly correlated subscales; more “Seizure Worry”; NDDI-E “Energy-Fatigue”; both “Emotional Well-Being”. Categorical analysis groups MDD alone, GAD MDD + GAD, neither nor showed scores, MDD + GAD showing most poorest QoL. Significance combination depression (AEP) has strong power evaluating PWE. Coexisting MMD associated highest
