摘要: Advanced biodegradable and non-toxic organic chelators, which are soluble in media, were synthesized on the basis of S,S-ethylenediamine-disuccinate (S,S-EDDS) ligand. The modifications suggested this work include attachment a lipophilic hydrocarbon chain ("tail") to one or both nitrogen atoms S,S-EDDS. new ligands designed evaluated for application Sediments Remediation Phase Transition Extraction (SR-PTE) process. This novel process is being developed simultaneous removal heavy metals pollutants from contaminated soils, sediments sludge. chelators bind various target metal ions, promote extraction these ions into solvents. Several variations attached tails tested. results them, N,N'-bis-dodecyl-S,S-EDDS (C24-EDDS), showed that metal-ligand complexes concentrated organic-rich phase (more than 80%). Preliminary applications SR-PTE with C24-EDDS ligand conducted also actually sludge (field samples). five toxic metals, namely, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb Zn was examined. In general, performance not less S,S-EDDS when sufficient ligand-to-extracted ion ratio (about 4:1 applied.
