摘要: Abstract Predator–prey relations involving fishes are often evaluated using scales remaining in gut contents or feces. While several reliable keys help identify North American freshwater fish to the family level, none attempt separate Centrarchidae genus level. is of particular concern midwestern United States because it contains popular sport fishes, such as smallmouth bass Micropterus dolomieu, largemouth M. salmoides, and rock Ambloplites rupestris, well less-sought-after species sunfishes Lepomis spp. crappies Pomoxis Differentiating from non-sport has important management implications.
