摘要: Publisher Summary The extreme biological diversity of the Coleoptera is shown by structural sex and aggregation pheromones produced these insects. pathways regulating mechanisms themselves are useful targets for manipulating populations pestiferous beetles. This chapter reviews pheromone production regulation in beetles belonging to seven families: Silvanidae, Laemophloeidae, Scarabaeidae, Nitidulidae, Tenebrionidae, Scolytidae, Curculionidae. Pheromone biosynthesis intensively investigated several representative species from each families Coleoptera, particularly Scolytidae. In Scolytidae de novo isoprenoid have evolved with an emphasis on hemiterpenoid monoterpenoid end products. families, derived predominantly through modifications normal or fatty acid metabolism. Metabolic embellishments produce unique components include stereospecific hydroxylation, epoxidation, and/or cyclization reactions insertion methyl ethyl branches. also provides experimental results biosynthetic studies.
