摘要: Huntington's disease (HD) is an inherited neurodegenerative disorder characterised by motor impairment, cognitive decline and psychiatric disorders. Dysphagia a pathologic condition that increases morbidity mortality of the affected people. Our aim was to evaluate dysphagia in group HD patients view motor, functional decline. Thirty-seven genetically confirmed were submitted clinical evaluations swallowing. Bedside Swallowing Assessment Scale (BSAS) used. Outcome Severity (DOSS) applied for preliminary classification swallowing difficulties. All also evaluated Unified Disease Rating (UHDRS). A 39 controls comparable sex age recruited BSAS scores normalisation. The indicated our cohort, 32.4% presented relevant or severe dysphagia. DOSS levels significantly correlated with main features, such as age, duration special regard lingual protrusion ability, dysarthria bradykinesia. total capacity (TFC) scales did not show significant correlation levels. results examination prevalent symptom HD.
