Trust in the context of community-based health insurance schemes in Cambodia: villagers' trust in health insurers.

摘要: Objective – To understand the role and influence of villagers’ trust for health insurer on enrollment in a community-based insurance (CBHI) scheme Cambodia. Methodology/approach This study was conducted northwest Cambodia where CBHI operates with highest rates country. A mixed method approach employed to gauge how individuals community insurer, whether this plays their decisions enroll schemes. Focus groups household surveys were carried out identify measure levels, explore association between schemes. Findings Although villagers generally trusted organization, poor experiences other organizations past less willing insurer. Insurer represented combination interpersonal impersonal trust. After controlling demographic factors, care utilization, socio-economic status, levels who newly enrolled (RRR=1.07, p<0.001) renewed (RRR=1.15, significantly higher than those never schemes. Implications policy illustrates relationship low-income, post-conflict It highlights need staff place greater emphasis building trusting relationships villagers. Understanding nature is essential improve protect people rural communities against impact health-related shocks.
