摘要: We present a brief theoretical overview of electronic properties incommensurate multilayer systems, i.e., pair two-dimensional atomic layers stacked in an arbitrary orientation. introduce the general scheme to describe interlayer interaction between crystal structures, and apply formula two specific examples, twisted bilayer graphene graphene–hBN composite bilayer. In each case, we calculate band structure demonstrate that low-energy are significantly modified by interaction, particularly when lattice structures close other. also study energy spectrum quantum Hall effect magnetic fields, where see spectral exhibits fractal nature, as known Hofstadter butterfly. argue about optical absorption show gives rise characteristic spectrosc...
