摘要: The promising photosensitizing properties of hypericin, a natural quinine substituted with hydroxyl and alkyl groups, have led to the proposal that it can be utilized in photodynamic therapy. Neither detailed mechanism behind powerful action arising as result light excitation, nor intracellular localization transportation molecule is yet fully understood. behavior hypericin derivatives pure dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) lipid membrane has recently been studied theoretically by means molecular dynamics simulations. Natural membranes however contain many important constituents-cholesterol being one most essential-that influence function structure membrane, thereby also drug molecules therein. In present study, we investigated its brominated containing 9 25 mol % cholesterol. results show presence cholesterol affects permeability does so differently for various two membranes. Hypericin bromine was found exhibit lowest free energy profile transport process into lipids, highest coefficients, indicating this displays fastest easiest diffusion All three were accumulate preferably close polar headgroup region both
