摘要: Extrinsic black dental staining is an external discoloration of bacterial origin, considered a special form plaque. Currently, there no definitive therapeutic option for eliminating stain. This study employed 16S rRNA metagenomics to analyze stain and white-plaque samples from 27 adult volunteers. Study objectives were to: describe the microbial diversity samples; characterize their taxonomic profile; compare microbiomes versus volunteers propose functional map microbiome using PICRUSt2. The was poorer in species as compared white-plaque. five most abundant genera Capnocytophaga, Leptotrichia, Fusobacterium, Corynebacterium Streptococcus. Functional analysis revealed conserved consistent clustering pathways within between microbiomes. We enrichment heme biosynthetic Our results suggest that dysbiosis resembles "orally healthy" communities. increased abundance suggests heme-dependent iron sequestration subsequent metabolism are key formation. Further research should decipher regulation genes temporal sequence leading colonization dysbiosis.
