摘要: Beef cattle grazing is the dominant land use in extensive tropical and sub-tropical rangelands of northern Australia. Despite considerable knowledge on herd management gained from both research practical experience, adoption improved limited by an inability to predict how changes practices combinations will affect production, economic returns resource condition. To address these issues, past Australian international relating four factors that productivity condition was reviewed order identify key principles. The considered were stocking rates, pasture resting, prescribed fire, fencing water point development for managing distribution. Four principles sound Australia formulated as follows: (1) manage rates meet goals livestock production condition; (2) rest pastures maintain them good or restore poor increase productivity; (3) devise apply fire regimes enhance while minimising undesirable impacts; (4) points manipulate Each principle supported several more specific guidelines. These guidelines, supporting which they are based, presented.
