摘要: Human exposure to ionizing radiation is highly associated with adverse health effects, including reduced hematopoietic cell function and increased risk of carcinogenesis. The deficits manifest across blood types persist for years after exposure, suggesting a long-lived multi-potent cellular reservoir radiation-induced effects. As such, research has focused on identifying both the immediate latent stem responses exposure. Radiation-associated effects malignancy development have generally been attributed direct induction mutations resulting from DNA damage. Other studies illuminated role programs that limit enhance tissue phenotypes In this review, distinct but collaborative genotoxic insults are highlighted, an emphasis how these programmed impact fitness competition. These include apoptosis, senescence impaired self-renewal within (HSC) pool. context sporadic damage cell, act in concert restore prevent selection adaptive oncogenic mutations. But contexts whole-tissue or whole-body genotoxins, such as radiotherapy chemotherapy, we propose can contribute long-lasting impairment
