摘要: I set forth and discuss E.U. Condon’s views on science society, focusing specifically religion, government, the necessity for world peace. Even disregarding his contributions to theoretical physics, Condon proves an interesting case study several reasons. He had extensive experience in academia, industry, was a scientist who easily crossed insider-outsider divide between scientists Cold War America. Moreover, person of Progressive Left advocating World Government as necessary peace warning dangers militarization American society well itself. Known being outspoken, he became inviting target forces anticommunism In March 1948, House Un-American Activities Committee charged that “one weakest links our atomic security.”
