摘要: Novel methods and systems for decoding displaying enhanced dynamic range (EDR) video signals are disclosed. To accommodate legacy digital media players with constrained computational resources, compositing display management (DM) operations moved from a player to its attached EDR display. On receiver, base enhancement layers decoded multiplexed together overlay graphics into an interleaved stream. The all converted common format which allows metadata be embedded in the signal as part of least significant bits chroma channels. display, de-interleaved. After guided by received metadata, data blended output DM process final is displayed on display's panel.
