摘要: In spite of its importance as a life-defining rhythmic movement and constant contraction relaxation the body, respiration has not received attention in Embodied Cognition (EC) literature. Our paper aims to show that (1) exerts significant unexpected influence on cognitive processes, (2) it does so by modulating neural synchronization underlies specific processes. Then, (3) we suggest particular example may function model for general mechanism through which body influences functioning. Finally, (4) work out implications EC, draw parallel role gesture, argue sometimes plays double, pragmatic epistemic, role, reduces load. such cases, consistent with overall activity includes loop-like interaction between non-neural elements.
