Mothering very young children after wartime deployment: A case report.

摘要: Parenting very young children in the context of military service, deployment separations, and war-related trauma can be challenging for many families. Female active duty personnel represent one fastest growing segments military, recent policy changes have led women to pursue serving combat positions at much higher rates. While not is known about service member mothers, some studies shown that they experience significant symptoms distress, depression, anxiety during cycle, feelings disconnection from family reintegration, rates childhood histories than their male counterparts. Service mothers who combined stressors separation, exposure, adverse experiences-a triple threat-may serious risk posttraumatic stress depressive symptomatology, which negatively influence quality nature parenting parent-child relationships. This case report describes participation a single mother her preschool-aged daughter home-based, reintegration program designed families with (ages 0-5). The paper illustrates how this relationship-based, reflective intervention was effective increasing mother's sense competence strengthening relationship.
