摘要: Abstract In an attempt to prepare amorphous Fe 77 Cr 4 P 8 C 11 alloy by mechanical alloying, powder mixtures of Fe, Cr, and (activated carbon) with a purity 99.9% have been ball milled, under argon atmosphere for several periods up 90 h, in planetary mill (Fritsch P7). The structure microstructure the milled powders characterised, as function milling time, X-ray diffraction Mossbauer spectrometry. During first stage (up 12 h), detailed analyses patterns spectra reveal complete dissolution elemental formation x (1 3 phosphides carbide addition α -(Fe,Cr) phase. like state is reached after 32 h milling. Further leads appearance new carbides such (Fe,Cr) 7 ɛ ′-Fe 2.2 phosphide type phase embedded matrix.
