摘要: This paper examines the effects of shifts in “development discourse” on behavior nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). Drawing upon detailed case histories two well-established NGOs western India, it is demonstrated that (1) have been profoundly influenced by discourses prevailing during their initial, formative stages; (2) NGO subject to changes global development are transmitted them via a range mechanisms including consultants, conditions funding, and reporting requirements; (3) these able challenge adapt certain suit own needs circumstances, sometimes even sparking wider structural change.
