摘要: There have been very few empirical studies aimed at investigating lexicosemantic processing in trilingual speakers having conference interpreting (CI) experience using online psycholinguistic research methods. In this study E-Prime is used to examine the nature of lexical single words translation performance twelve professional interpreters (PRO), trainees (CIS), and a control group fourteen non-interpreting (TRI), all with following language combination: Polish (A/L1), English (B/L2), German (C/L3). The type (i.e. directionality) amount practice was hypothesised influence cognitive make-up PRO (and probably also CIS) greater extent than close affinity existing between foreign languages question. latter factor significant bearing on TRI. experiments, participants decided first whether pairs presented them computer screen constitute correct equivalents, then translated (also visually screen) into microphone.
