摘要: Abstract OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects exercise training and body-awareness in female patients with Syndrome X. BACKGROUND Patients X, defined as effort-induced angina pectoris, a positive test normal coronary angiogram, suffer from chronic pain disorder. We hypothesized that disorder results physical deconditioning decreased exertional threshold. METHODS Twenty-six were randomly assigned two groups (A, B) control group (C). Group A (n = 8) started, after baseline measurements, eight weeks followed by on bicycle ergometer three times week for 30 min at an intensity 50% peak work rate. B performed only training. C 10) acted controls without any intervention whatsoever. performance, hormonal secretion, vascular function, adenosine sensitivity quality life evaluated. RESULTS Body-awareness did not change response. differ Exercise capacity before below gender- age-matched reference range improved 34% level different range. Onset delayed 100% 3 ± 2 6 (p CONCLUSIONS Physical lower threshold is prominent feature X increased lesser anginal pain. suggest effective treatment
