A diet and exercise regimen: its effect upon mental acuity and personality, a pilot study.

摘要: Of the 75 patients in February 1977 “class” at Longevity Research Institute, Santa Barbara, California, 11 volunteers were pre- and posttested (21- to 23-day intervals) with MMPI, 13 California Psychological Inventory, 17 four subtests of WAIS (total: 21 males, 10 females). Ten (total) 32 scales showed changes predicted, favorable direction, statistically significant .05 level or better by t test. Further, number changing desirable direction for each three tests was .06, .001, .06 levels (sign test), respectively. The pilot results indicate improvement psychological factors mental acuity within a month's time concomitant diet, activity, educational program warrant further investigation.
