摘要: Eliciting Local Values of Wild Edible Plants in Southern Benin to Identify Priority Species for Conservation. When financial resources are limited, prioritization species conservation becomes essential. Elicitation local perceptions threats can be a useful means prioritizing and help strengthen actions important plant species. In the neighborhood Dan forest (southern Benin), we used quantitative ethnobotany tools explore: a) how communities value wild resources, b) if concerns resource depletion engender pro-active management conserve plants and, so, c) which criteria people would use select deserving conservation. Ethnobotanical knowledge was collected using range different techniques. Results indicate that villagers eat 41 belonging 17 families with most being Parkia biglobosa, Vitex doniana, Vitellaria paradoxa, Launaea taraxacifolia, Prosopis africana. against is evaluated include: i) market importance, ii) nutritive value, iii) number complementary uses species, iv) availability resource.
