摘要: Objective This is a secondary analysis of randomized clinical trial which aims to examine changes in cognitive and behavioral responses migraine with treatment for migraine, preventive medication their combination, the relationship between these reductions migraine-related disability. Background Cognitive thought reduce disability through modifying maladaptive migraine. Methods Two hundred thirty-two people who did not respond 5 weeks optimized acute therapy were into 2 (beta-blocker vs placebo) X (behavioral management [BMM] no BMM) design. Participants received BMM and/or beta-blocker dose adjustment 4 months, followed an additional 12 months. completed measures catastrophizing, coping, throughout study. Results Compared drug only, demonstrated larger decreases catastrophizing scores (19.16 9.89 16.78 11.84, P < .001) increases number positive coping strategies (proactive: 1.09 1.90 1.16 1.09, P  < .001; anticipatory: 0.19 0.69 0.10 0.08, management: 0.14 0.36 0.04 0.04, P  < .001) at end follow-up period. Decreases associated effect on (P = .036). Conclusions This study that modified important factors postulated be mechanisms treatments migraine.
