摘要: Abstract Humans rely fundamentally on the marine environment, which is at same time subject to an increasingly broad range of anthropogenic pressures, leading growing concerns and need for effective management protection. One activity dredging ports harbours necessary maintain safe channels commercial recreational navigation. Regulatory authorities in developing countries have few resources conduct full EIAs determining dredged material disposal sites but are required do so under international obligations. The Tool this paper provides effective, pragmatic, transparent, consistent, robust approach protect environment whilst using limited technical scientific through a risk based defining need, characterising designating sea material. Whilst was developed use UK, process equally applicable other waste types, worldwide.
