摘要: Abstract Acicular ferrite is regarded as the most desirable microstructural feature, in view of strength and toughness, mild low alloy steel weld metals. Recent evolution diversity mechanical property for base metal demand same weld. Therefore, understanding formation mechanism acicular microstructure one essential problems In present work, morphological development situ, was observed during cooling. The sample designed to form schematically heated cooled by infrared imaging furnace developments were directly using laser scanning conforcal microscopy. nucleation growing at inclusion, sympathetic impingement event shown high time resolution.
