摘要: The Digital Observatory for Protected Areas (DOPA) has been developed to support the European Union’s efforts in strengthening our capacity mobilize and use biodiversity data, information forecasts so that they are readily accessible policymakers, managers, experts other users. Conceived as a set of web based services, DOPA provides broad free open source tools assess, monitor even forecast state pressure on protected areas at local, regional global scale. Explorer 1.0 is interface available four languages (EN, FR, ES, PT) providing simple means explore nearly 16,000 least large 100 km2. Distinguishing between terrestrial, marine mixed areas, can help end users identify those with most unique ecosystems species, assess pressures exposed because human development. Recognized by UN Convention Biological Diversity (CBD) reference system, best data sets rank country ecoregion levels. Inversely, indirectly highlights which incomplete. We finally invite end-users engage us through proposed communication platforms improve work safeguarding biodiversity.
