The structure and evolution of the human β-globin gene family

摘要: We present the results of a detailed comparison primary structure human beta-like globin genes and their flanking sequences. Among sequences located 5' to these are two highly conserved regions which include ATA CCAAT 31 +/- 1 77 10 bp, respectively, mRNA capping site. Similar found in corresponding locations most other eucaryotic structural genes. Calculation divergence times individual gene pairs provides first description evolutionary relationships within family based entirely on direct nucleotide sequence comparisons. In addition, relationship embryonic epsilon-globin is defined for time. Finally, we describe model involvement short repeat generation deletions noncoding coding during evolution.
