摘要: Disentangling the metabolic functioning of corals' endosymbionts (Symbiodiniaceae) is relevant to understanding response coral reefs warming oceans. In this work, we first question whether there an energetic coupling between photosynthesis and respiration in Symbiodiniaceae (Symbiodinium, Durusdinium Effrenium), second, how different levels will affect their adaptive responses global warming. Coupling was established by determining variation rates during thermal curves, inhibition affects photosynthesis. Adaptive (irreversible) were studied exposing two Symbiodinium species with photosynthesis-respiration interaction high temperature conditions (32°C) for 1 yr. We found that some have a level coupling; is, same dependency, negatively affected when inhibited. Conversely, are not coupled other species. any case, prolonged exposure caused adjustments both respiration, but these changes fully reversible. conclude exhibits wide amongst does determine occurrence increase.
