摘要: Rational analysis (Anderson 1990, 1991a) is an empiricalprogram of attempting to explain why the cognitive system isadaptive, with respect its goals and structure itsenvironment. We argue that rational has two importantimplications for philosophical debate concerning rationality. First, rational provides a model relationship betweenformal principles rationality (such as probability or decisiontheory) everyday rationality, in sense successfulthought action daily life. Second, applying program ofrational research on human reasoning leads radicalreinterpretation empirical results which are typically viewed asdemonstrating irrationality.
