摘要: When studying animal behaviour and ecology the recognition of individuals is very important in case bottlenose dolphins this can be done via photo-identification their dorsal fins. Here we develop a mathematical model that describes fin shape which then fitted to data by Bayesian approach implemented using MCMC methods. This project still at testing stage are currently working with simulated data. Future work includes: extracting outline from pictures; fitting real data; devising way discriminate between individuals.
