摘要: A 47.0 cm lake core was taken from Panther Hollow Lake, a small manmade located in Schenley Park within the City of Pittsburgh. The analyzed for geochemical evidence region's industrial history during twentieth century. Physical and proxies showed that sediments contained trace metal concentrations are an order magnitude above natural background levels, including high levels heavy metals throughout period study increasing alkali earth metals. Lead found at as 350 ppm although chromium, arsenic, nickel, vanadium all well Depths were converted to age assuming 0.5 cm/yr sedimentation rate. Using this model, shifts industry-related align with changes made environmental laws output region.
