摘要: We discuss a coding technique for transmitting temporally ordered and/or successive refinements encoded multimedia data (such as MPEG video) over multi-cast network using recently developed breakthrough techniques. Hybridizing philosophy with that of priority transmission and fountain codes, we provide method which allows sink to forward higher OSI model layers (i.e. the source decoder lying in application layer) uncoded order importance coded packets arrive. This avoids delay presently incurred by waiting reception full rank matrix before decoding entire block forwarding it layers.
