摘要: Abstract Following prior experimental evidence of electrostatic charge separation, electric and magnetic fields produced by hypervelocity impact, we have developed a model separation based on plasma sheath theory implemented it into the CTH shock physics code. Preliminary assessment shows good qualitative quantitative agreement between experiments at least in regime for porous carbonate material tested. Moreover, agrees with scaling analysis data performed work, suggesting that resulting can be substantial effect larger scales, higher impact velocities, or both.
