摘要: Effectiveness of highly active antiretroviral therapy is limited for a large proportion individuals living with HIV presenting medical care at an advanced stage. Controversial results gender differences in risk late diagnosis were reported among existing literatures. Therefore, we conducted this meta-analysis to synthesize summary disease (AHD) and presentation (LP) according European consensus definitions. Totally, 32 studies included based on predetermined selection criteria. The pooled adjusted odds ratios males AHD LP compared females 1.73 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.59–1.89) 1.38 CI, 1.18–1.62) significant heterogeneity observed (I2 = 78.50%, I2 = 85.60%, respectively). Subgroup analysis revealed that time lag, study location, number patients, females, design, variables might be potential source heterogeneity. Sensitivity showed robustness the results. No publication bias was or LP. current indicated are higher females. More attention should paid make sure early testing, diagnosis, treatment, ultimately improve individual population health.
