摘要: The segment polarity gene cubitus interruptus (ci) is required to maintain expression of the wingless and specify naked cuticle within each epidermal segment. Antibodies were generated against ci protein used analyze its pattern expression. By stage 11, post-transcriptional regulation observed. transcript levels are uniform across anterior compartment, but higher next compartment boundaries. distribution altered in fused, hedgehog mutants suggesting cell-cell signaling may regulate levels. role formation was examined double with patched zeste-white3/shaggy.
