摘要: A proposed upgrade to the NSLS X-Ray Ring is described that will allow storage of a 2.4 A, 3 GeV electron beam using technology developed for PEP-II B factory at SLAC. In this configuration, peak flux greater than 1016 photons/sec/0.1% bandwidth/5 mrad be produced. The four existing 53 MHz RF cavities replaced with eight 476 cavities. Two 952 also used lengthen bunch, increasing Touschek life-time. copper vacuum chamber needed absorb increased synchrotron radiation and feedback system may prevent multi-bunch instabilities.
