摘要: The calculation of a propagation constant is an interesting problem in the study planar waveguides. We present new method for solving dielectric waveguide with arbitrary refractive-index variation either TE or TM modes, and this simpler than other methods. Taking parabolic profile as example, we show that high accuracy can be attained method, provided divided into layers proper number thickness.
