摘要: Currently, hypochondriasis and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) are classified as somatoform disorders in DSM-IV-TR (APA, 2000). In ICD-10 (WHO, 1993), BDD is subsumed under hypochondrias. Hypochondriasis have some similarities with respect to symptomatology (fear avoidance), cognitive emotional processing (selective attention abnormalities of the body), behavioral factors (bodily preoccupation, compulsive checking, reassurance, seeking medical treatment). turn, due their within spectrum on one hand, shared features high comorbidity anxiety other APA recommending removal at least from current category placing it new obsessive–compulsive (Phillips et al., 2010).
