摘要: The pathogenesis of both entities inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), namely Crohn's (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is still complex under investigation. importance the microbial flora in developing IBD beyond debate. In last few years, focus has changed from adaptive towards innate immunity. ileitis associated with a deficiency antimicrobial shield, as shown by reduced expression secretion Paneth cell defensin HD5 HD6, which related to differentiation defect mediated diminished Wnt transcription factor TCF4. UC, protective mucus layer, acting physical chemical barrier between gut epithelium luminal microbes, thinner part denuded compared controls. This could be caused missing induction goblet factors Hath1 KLF4 leading immature cells. defective UC may enable microbes invade mucosa trigger inflammation. exact molecular mechanisms behind ileal CD also must further clarified, but these observations give rise new therapeutic strategies based on stimulation immune system.
