Modeling Industrial Lot Sizing Problems: A Review

摘要: In this paper we give an overview of recent developments in the field modeling deterministic single-level dynamic lot sizing problems. The focus is on various industrial extensions and not solution approaches. timeliness such a review stems from growing industry need to solve more realistic comprehensive production planning First, several different basic problems are defined. Many these have been proposed research basically expands two opposite directions. first line focuses operational aspects detail. discussion organized around five aspects: set ups, characteristics process, inventory, demand side rolling horizon. second direction towards tactical strategic models which problem core substructure, as integrated production-distribution or supplier selection. Recent advances both directions discussed. Finally, some concluding remarks point out interesting areas for future research.
