摘要: We examined the potential benefits and risks associated with participation in five types of activities: prosocial (church volunteer activities), team sports, school involvement, performing arts, academic clubs. Our sample included 1,259 mostly European American adolescents (approximately equal numbers males females). First, we explore link between involvement these activities our indicators positive negative development. Involvement was linked to educational trajectories low rates risky behaviors.
