Novel endoscopic therapeutic modalities for superficial neoplasms arising in Barrett's esophagus: a primer for surgical pathologists

摘要: This review introduces some of the novel endoscopic modalities used for treatment superficial neoplasms arising in setting Barrett's esophagus, namely mucosal resection and photodynamic therapy. We describe appropriate technical details pathologists to know effectively communicate with gastroenterologists as well pitfalls evaluation specimens post therapy follow-up biopsies.
