摘要: Music is an integral part of the cultural heritage all known human societies, with capacity for music perception and production present in most people. Researchers generally agree that both genetic environmental factors contribute to broader realization ability, degree aptitude varying, not only from individual individual, but across various components ability within same individual. While influencing development expertise have been well investigated psychological literature, interrogation possible influences has progressed at rate. Recent advances research offer fertile ground exploring basis ability. This paper begins a brief overview behavioral molecular approaches commonly used analyses, then critically reviews key findings investigations Some promising converging emerged, several loci on chromosome 4 implicated singing perception, certain 8q absolute pitch perception. The gene AVPR1A 12q also memory, listening, whereas SLC6A4 17q associated memory choir participation. Replication these results alternate populations larger samples warranted confirm findings. Through increased efforts, clearer picture mechanisms underpinning will hopefully emerge.
