摘要: A selective adaptation experiment was conducted to determine the ability of various adapting stimuli alter perception a series 13 synthetic speech syllables. The test syllables, which varied acoustically in starting frequency and direction second- third-formant transitions, included stop consonant distinctions ofplace articulation for syllable types [bae], [dae], [gae]. systematic effect produced locus bae-bae phonetic boundary these after repetitive listening each following syllables: [phae], [mae], [vae], indicating that among consonants can be altered even by certain sounds not belonging stop-consonant class.
