摘要: Abstract Background: Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) may fail to respond corticosteroids. Immunosuppressive and cytotoxic agents are useful in patients with recalcitrant disease. We describe our experiences chlorambucil for PG. Objective: Our purpose was evaluate the effectiveness of oral PG treatment prednisone, immunosuppressive therapy, or both. Methods: Six were given 2 4 mg/day. Four treated a combination prednisone chlorambucil, two received alone. Response based on (1) diminution size ulcers, their complete healing, (2) decrease dose corticosteroid therapy. Results: Beneficial effects noted within 6 8 weeks all six patients, corticosteroids eventually discontinued patients. Currently only still receiving chlorambucil; other four stopped after 24 months treatment. Their disease has remained remission 9 years. Relapse occurred 1 stopping therapy one remaining reducing other. In both is again responding Minimal toxicity been noted, consisting leukopenia patient. Conclusion: findings suggest that an effective corticosteroid-sparing agent control
